Luxury Paris Travel Guide

Paris, Unhurried

Paris is one of those cities that reveals itself slowly — and the best luxury trips here are built around that idea. The goal isn't to tick off monuments, but to settle in.

Michael's TakeThe 8th arrondissement is magnificent, but I always encourage clients to spend at least two nights on the Left Bank — the streets around Saint-Germain-des-Prés have a completely different energy.

Where to Stay

Hôtel Lutetia on the Left Bank is one of the great Parisian grand hotels — beautifully restored, with an art deco soul and an extraordinary spa. Le Bristol is reliably among the finest hotels in the world.

Hôtel Lutetia

Art deco grandeur, a world-class spa, and an unbeatable Saint-Germain location.

Palace Hotel

Le Bristol Paris

Impeccable Parisian luxury with a rooftop pool and Épicure restaurant.

Historic Landmark

Hôtel de Crillon

Place de la Concorde views, Rosewood service, and rooms that feel like living history.

Boutique Gem

Les Bains

A former bathhouse turned design hotel in the vibrant Marais district.

What to Do

Book the Louvre for early morning entry. Versailles deserves a full day. The Musée d'Orsay is, in my view, the single most beautiful museum in the world — plan at least three hours.

For FamiliesThe Jardin du Luxembourg, the Palais Royal gardens, and a Seine river cruise from the Eiffel Tower are all equally magical for adults and children.

Where to Eat

A meal at Épicure inside Le Bristol is worth every centime for a special occasion. Septime in the 11th is among the most creative and affordable fine dining experiences in the city.
